Design That Sparks Joy

What began as a personal passion for classic gaming systems and retro computing grew into ZMG3D. Through extensive prototyping and testing, I’ve refined my process to bridge the gap between digital nostalgia and high-quality physical design—ensuring every piece from raw STL file to finished print meets sharp, reliable production standards.

What I Do

  • Custom Hardware & Enclosures: Designing custom, retro-themed cases and enclosures tailored for single-board computers like the Raspberry Pi 5, along with custom-built arcade joysticks and controller hardware.

  • Functional Desk Collectibles: Crafting unique, arcade-inspired organizers, pen holders, word-art signs, and display coasters built to elevate home office setups.

  • Character Collectibles & Accessories: Modeling detailed scale figurines and keychains inspired by classic 80s arcade titles, vintage consoles, and iconic pop-culture franchises.

  • Digital Modeling & Licensing: Developing clean, print-ready STL files for the maker community and offering commercial licensing options for shop owners looking to print my designs.

Why I Do It

For me, retro gaming isn't just about nostalgia—it’s about the tangible, tactile design of an era that shaped modern tech. Mass-produced desk accessories rarely capture the character or custom feel that dedicated fans and makers want. I do this to create functional pieces that tell a story, honor classic arcade hardware, and give gamers, collectors, and makers distinct gear they can't find anywhere else.
